Alice L. (Earnest) Kitzmiller

Alice L. Kitzmiller, 79, of Unityville, passed away Thursday, October 28, 2010 at her home in the loving care of her family. She was born August 23, 1931, in Iola, a daughter of the late Pete Earnest and Mae Depoe. She graduated from Benton High School in 1948. She worked at Benton Milco and then helped her husband farm and took care of her home for sixty plus years. She was a loving mother, grandmother and great grandmother. She belonged to the 39 plus club and a former member Unityville fireman auxiliary. She enjoyed crossword puzzles, cooking for her family, spending time with her grandchildren. She is survived by her husband Charles J. Kitzmiller, with whom she married December 25, 1950, three sons Charlie E. Kitzmiller and his wife Sandy, Edwin E. Kitzmiller and his wife Christine, Travis Kitzmiller and his fiancé Alissa all of Unityville, two daughters Virginia and her husband Edward Long of Millville, Cathy Kitzmiller of Unityville and thirteen grandchildren and nine great grandchildren and a sister Joyce Bragg of Millville. Services will be Monday at 3:00 pm at Bunnell Funeral Home, Inc. 178 E. Main St. Millville, with Rev. Paul Dauenbaugh officiating. Burial will be in Salem Cemetery. The family will receive friends Monday from 2:00 pm until the time of service.
