Allen R. Kile, 86, of Orangeville passed away on Monday August 14, 2023, at his residence. He was born on August 23, 1936, in Greenwood Township, a son of the late Willard and H. Lucille (Shaffer) Kile.
He graduated from Millville High School class of 1954 and was drafted into the United States Army serving in Germany from 1959 until being honorably discharged in 1962. Allen worked at Zeiser Vault in Nescopeck for 32 years, retiring in 1999. He enjoyed farming and hunting. When he was younger, he was active in the FFA. He was a member of Berwick Bible Church. Allen was a leader for the Christian Service Brigade for 40 years. Allen donated 20 gallons of blood through the American Red Cross.
Allen is survived by his wife the former Doris E. Houck, celebrating 65 years of marriage, three sons: Randy Kile wife Tonia of Danville, Perry Kile wife Nancy of New Bloomfield, PA, William “Bill” Kile wife Ella of Berwick, eight grandchildren, nine great-grandchildren, and brother Arden Kile wife Bernetta of York, PA.
Allen was preceded in death by his parents as well as his sister Eloise Morris.
Services will be Thursday August 17, 2023, at 11:00 am at Crosspoint Bible Church (formerly Berwick Bible Church), 1426 Spring Garden Ave, Berwick with his pastor, Pastor Brad Iverson officiating. Burial will follow at Lemons Cemetery. Family will receive friends Wednesday August 16, 2023, from 5:00 pm until 7:00 pm at the Bunnell Funeral Home Inc., 179 E. Main St., Millville and on Thursday from 10:00 am until 11:00 am at the church.
