Allen L Kitchen

Allen L. Kitchen, 73, of Millville passed away on Thursday September 8, 2022, at Geisinger Medical Center, Danville. He was born October 29, 1948, in Bloomsburg, a son of the late Myron L. and Bessie (Swartz) Kitchen.

He graduated from Southern Columbia High School class of 1967. Allen fought wildfires on the West Coast and retired from the Millville Borough Sewer Authority. 

Allen enjoyed having parties and picnics at his pavilion and spending time with his family and friends. He loved his Friday and Saturday nightcampfires and his many trips to Benezette with his mule Katie. Most mornings you could find him at the Alley Cat Eatery with the table of “knowledge”. He loved to go to a good livestock auction.

Allen is survived by his wife the former Cindy Halye, whom he married July 10, 2010, daughter Rene Sherman (John), stepson Curtis Stackhouse (Jeanette), two granddaughters; Keshia Church (Cody), Kahlie McFall (Nick), grandson Colt Stackhouse, four great-grandchildren; Rhett and Ryatt Church, Oakley and Onika McFall, brother Lee Kitchen (Sherry), and five sisters; Lana Heaps (Ted), Edna Claire Holdren (George), Donna Pursel (Vic), Juanita Kitchen, and Anne Kelsey.
