Ariel A. "Ike" Eisenhauer Sr., 88, of Bloomsburg, passed away Wednesday, February 02, 2011 at Kramm Health Care Center in Milton. He was born March 6, 1922 in Berwick, a son of the late Arthur Jacob and Emma Ruth Benjamin Eisenhauer. Ariel graduated from Berwick High School. He served in the Army during World War II were he received two bronze stars. He worked for Magee Carpet where he sang in the glee club, Lyle Floor Covering. He retired from Richmaid Kitchens where he was a salesman and draftsman. He was an avid bowler, enjoyed doing crafts and going to flea markets and later in life he made miniature doll house furniture. He designed the former Christian Fellowship Church in Nescopeck. He was preceded in death by his wife Nancy M. Freeze Eisenhauer who passed away July 13, 1984, a brother Richard at infancy, three sisters Lavere Hummel, Louise Risch and Faye L. Kohler. He is survived by a daughter Linda Lou and her husband Melvin Hill of Bloomsburg, a son Ariel A. Eisenhauer Jr. and his wife Connie of Dillsburg, Pa and a granddaughter Melinda Einsla and two step grandchildren Ryan and Jessica Tittle and a great grandson Russel Einsla and a step great granddaughter Kiara Serradella and a brother Ronald (Yaeko) Eisenhower of Indianapolis, IN and several nieces and nephews in Sunbury, Bloomsburg, Berwick, North Carolina and Florida. Services will be Monday at 2:00 pm at Rodger T. Bunnell Funeral Home, 435 Market St. Bloomsburg, with Pastor Allen Acor officiating. Burial will be at Elan Memorial Park. The family will receive friends from 1:00 pm until the time of service. Friends unable to attend may send condolences at bunnellfuneralhome.com.
