Barbara Evans Obituary
Barbara B. Evans, 89, of Millville, went to be with the Lord, Saturday October 19, 2019, at the Gardens at Millville, surrounded by her family. Barbara was born May 17, 1930, in Bloomsburg, the daughter of the late Luther G. and Enza A. (Smith) Baker.
Barbara graduated Millville High School Class of 1948. Barbara, together with Dean, dedicated their lives to the work of the Lord both locally at the Millville Methodist Church and nationally by their 25 years plus of volunteering through mission trips to Red Bird Mission in Beverly, Kentucky. Barbara also spent many hours dedicated to the work of the United Methodist Women and other community civic projects. She enjoyed making artificial arrangements, reading, and listening to Christian music. But most of all, Barbara loved her dear husband, her children, grandchildren, and her great grandchildren and took such pride in each and everyone of them.
Barbara is survived by her loving husband Dean E. Evans, whom she married on August 31, 1949, four children; Todd E. Evans and his wife Cathy of York , Deborah E. Karns and her husband Donald of Mechanicsburg, Gerry E. Woolcock and her husband H. Eugene of New Britain, and Amelia E. Musselman and her husband Kenneth of Millville. Also, by nine grandchildren, 15 great-grandchildren, plus one on the way.
Services will be Wednesday October 23, 2019, at 12:00 pm, at Mill-Green United Methodist Church S. State St. Millville Pa. 17846, with her Pastor Robert Strozyk officiating. Burial will follow at Millville Cemetery. Family will receive friends from 11:00 am until time of service at the church.
In lieu of flowers contributions in her memory may be sent to the funeral home to help defray the cost of the service, Bunnell Funeral Home Inc., PO Box 150, Millville, PA, 17846.
