Betty Bunnell Obituary
Betty "Tish" K. Bunnell, 89, of Millville and formerly of Clearwater, Florida, passed away Monday December 10, 2018 at her home surrounded by family. She was born December 20, 1928 in Pittsburgh, a daughter of the late Ellis O. and Marguerite (Stevenson) Keller.
She graduated from State College High School class of 1947 and received her bachelor's degree from Penn State University in 1951 in Home Economics. Betty was a substitute teacher in Massachusetts and New Hampshire, and a former Scout leader. Tish enjoyed playing solitaire, going horseback riding, going on cruises with her sorority sisters, and watching Judge Judy and Murder She Wrote. She loved knitting, making costumes, was the greatest cake maker and cook. Tish loved spending time with her family and supporting her grandkids. She made friends everywhere she went.
Betty is survived by husband Theodore R. Bunnell, with whom she celebrated 68 years of marriage with, and together had four children; Betty Bunnell of New Port Richey, Florida, John B. Bunnell and wife Patty of St. Petersburg, Florida, Pamela Bunnell Venner of Millville, Rodger T. Bunnell and wife Grace of Millville, twelve grandchildren, eighteen great-grandchildren, and sister Marguerite Tosi of Indiana, PA.
Betty was preceded in death by her parents, brother Robert Keller, sister Ann Butler, and great-granddaughter Heaven Lee Keilman.
Services will be Thursday December 13, 2018 at 6:00 pm at the Bunnell Funeral Home Inc., 179 E. Main St., Millville with Hospice Chaplain Chris Dunlap officiating. Burial will be at the convenience of the family at Centre County Memorial Park, State College. Family will receive friends at the funeral home from 5:00 pm until time of service.
In lieu of flowers contributions in her memory may be sent to Geisinger Home Health and Hospice, 410 Glenn Ave., Bloomsburg, PA 17815.
