C. Donald Thomas, 89, of Millville, went to be with his Lord and Savior Wednesday, March 20, 2013 at the Millville Health Care Center. He was born June 9, 1923 in Nelson, Pa, a son of the late Clarence Elmer and Mary Finch Thomas. He attended Mansfield Schools. He then served in the United States Army during WWII and was part of the Burma Invasion. He is a member of the Millville Christian Church where he is a Meredith Elder. He is also a member of the Millville American Legion Arthur Bardo Post 564. Don enjoyed making ornaments and toys. Don worked at Mansfield Novelty Company, Niles Lumber, and Girton Manufacturing. In later years he drove school bus for the Millville School District. Don was preceded in death by his wife Mabel Jaquish Thomas who passed away April 1, 2012, a son Daniel Robert Thomas who passed away November 11, 1979, a sister Irene Duckleburger and a brother Douglas Thomas. He is survived by two daughters Lorraine and her husband Howard Watts, Jane and her husband Joseph Steinruck all of Millville, six grandchildren and eight great grandchildren. He is also survived by three brothers Richard "Lee" Thomas of Wyoming, Robert Thomas, Clifford and a sister Elaine Strange all of Mainesburg. Services will be Saturday at 11:00 am at the Millville Christian Church 245 E. Main St. Millville with his Pastor Richard Plocinski officiating. The family will receive friends Friday from 6:00 pm until 8:00 pm and Saturday from 10:00 am until the time of service at the Millville Christian Church.
