Carl C. Morrow

Carl C. Morrow, 72, of Unityville, passed away at Sun Home Hospice at the Sunbury Hospital, Sunday, January 30, 2011. He was born February 9, 1938 in Bloomfield Hills, Michigan, a son of the late Edward B. and Elizabeth R. Robertson Morrow. He graduated from Bloomfield Hills High School. He served in the Coast Guard from June 1956 until December 1960. He was then employed at Fordam University from 1968 until 1972 and was self-employed with his wife in an Apple Fritter Business and most recently was employed at Cracker Barrel in Buckhorn. He also was a police officer in Michigan and New York for many years. He was a life member of the NRA and was an avid outdoorsman. He was preceded in death by two brothers James and Richard M. Morrow and a sister Lucille Slade. He is survived by his wife the former Esther M. Herrman with whom he married March 19, 1977 and five daughters Tracey L. and her husband Tom Riley of Monroe Twp., NJ, Dana L. Dickerson of Cranberry, NJ, Marlene M. Muller of Phoenix, AZ, Charlene B. and her husband Kyle Canavan of Oak Dale, NY and Christine B. and her husband Keil Usdane of Mesa, AZ, and three sons Carl C. Morrow Jr. and is wife Barbara of Virginia Beach,Va, Joshua Morrow and his wife Jody of Benton, Jedediah Morrow and his wife Jennifer of Montoursville, eleven grandchildren and one on the way and a brother Maxium A. Morrow and his wife Lois Ann of Clarkston, Mi and a sister Mary Ann Schwietzer of Auburn Hill, Mi. A celebration of life will be held Saturday at 1:00 pm at the Unityville Fire Company 6187 Route 42 North Unityville, Pa 17774 with Rev. James Taylor of Sun Home Hospice officiating. The family will receive friends Saturday from 11:00 am until the time of service. Burial will be at the convience of the family.
