Carter J. Conklin

Carter J. Conklin, a young man of exceptional intelligence and loving nature, passed away on September 18, 2025, at the tender age of 17. Born on October 18, 2007, at Geisinger Medical Center in Danville, Carter's life was a beacon of joy and creativity to all who knew him.

Carter was the cherished son of Marcia Roberts and Jacob Conklin, who provided him with a foundation of love and support that he carried with him throughout his life. His paternal grandparents, Kenneth and Carolyn Conklin of Mississippi, along with Susan Conklin and her husband Len Dawson. His maternal grandparents, Mark Roberts and his wife Lisa of Canton, PA, and Candy Albertson and her husband Ed of Millville. Carter was also blessed with the presence of his maternal great-grandmother, Beverly Selleck of Troy, PA. As well as his sister Marlei Roberts, uncle Nathan Roberts wife Whitney, aunt Kenda Newton, cousins Sadie and Kase Roberts, Keira Newton.

As a senior student at Millville High School, Carter was known for his academic excellence and his innate ability to inspire others. His participation in the Millville Chorus showcased his love for music and his remarkable talent. Outside the classroom, Carter's passions were diverse and engaging. He found joy in sharing his life and interests on YouTube, where he connected with a community of like-minded individuals. His love for video games was more than a pastime; it was a way to explore new worlds and challenge his intellect. Carter's affinity for solving mind games was a testament to his thoughtful and strategic approach to problem-solving.

A celebration of Carter’s life will be held on Wednesday September 24, 2025 at 7:00 pm at the Bunnell Funeral Home Inc., 179 E. Main St., Millville with Pastor Mark Messner officiating. Burial will be at the convenience of the family. Family will receive friends at the funeral from 5:00 pm until time of service at the funeral home.
