Charles “Chick” Stanley Fisher, 78, of Millville passed away Sunday May 14, 2023 at his residence surrounded by his family. He was born April 2, 1945 in Bloomsburg, a son of the late Paul David and Louise (Oberdorf) Fisher.
He graduated from Bloomsburg High School class of 1965 and then joined the United States Navy during the Vietnam War where he received the Joint Service Commendation Medal, National Defense Service Medal, Vietnam Campaign Medal, and the Vietnam Service Medal. After being honorably discharge from the Navy in 1969 Chick graduated from the Wilkes Barre Barber School. He was a third-generation barber owning Fisher’s Barber Shop for 44 years.
Chick enjoyed fishing, hunting, camping, golfing, and traveling with his wife. He loved going to his family vacation in Canada, and the Cub’s Nest. He was a member of the Bloomsburg Fireman Relief, Life Member of Millville Fire Co., and the Millville Christian Church.
Chick is survived by his wife the former Marie Eyer, whom he married June 19, 1971, daughter Kimberly Wolfe husband Matthew of Douglasville, PA, two sons; Mike Fisher wife Natasha, Drue Fisher, all of Millville, five grandchildren; Kurtis and Kendall Wolfe, Veyda Peters, Lylah and Vivian Fisher, and twin sisters Josephine Diettrick husband Larry and Janet Bennett husband Larry, both of Bloomsburg.
He was preceded in death by his parents as well as sisters Betty Fisher and Mary Ruth Shultz, and brother Paul J. Fisher.
Graveside services will be held June 3, 2023 at 10:00 am at New Rosemont Cemetery, Old Berwick Road, Bloomsburg with Pastor Jim Kline and Pastor Mark Messner officiating. Military honors will follow.
