Charlotte F. (Evans) Rhone

Charlotte F. Rhone, 81, of Bloomsburg, passed away Thursday, July 28, 2011 at Geisinger Medical Center. She was born February 28, 1930 in Berwick, a daughter of the late Ray and Lillian Tittle Evans. She graduated from Berwick High School in 1948. She had worked as a cook at Pine Barn Inn and BJ's Ribs both in Danville. She also helped raise foster children in the area. She loved to bake, yard sale, reading books, shopping, canning, baking and cooking. She was preceded in death by her husband Ralph Rhone Sr. who passed away May 10, 1984, a sister Ruth Evans and a brother Luther Evans. She is survived by a son Ralph Rhone Jr. of Bloomsburg and four daughters Alice Ann Elliott and her husband Jack Strausser, Mary Ellen and her husband Guy Norquest and Penny Louise Rhone all of Danville and Jeanne Benjamin of Bloomsburg, ten grandchildren: Karl Rhone, Melissa Norquest, Aaron Norquest, Kelly Rhone, Jeremy Norquest, Jessica Benjamin, Elizabeth Rhone, Scottie Evans, Denice Heim and Sandra Elliott, four great grandchildren and one great great grandson, five brothers Albert Evans of Berwick, Paul Evans of Georgia, Ray Evans of Berwick, Charles Evans of Wisconsin, David Evans of Berwick and a sister Geraldine Kerschner of NJ. Services will be Tuesday at 10:00 am at Bunnell Funeral Home, Inc. 179 E. Main St. Millville, with Rev. Allen Acor officiating. Burial will be at Elan Memorial Park. The family will receive friends Tuesday from 9:00 am until the time of service. Friends unable to attend may send condolences at bunnellfuneralhome.com.
