Colombe G. (Gordner) Gillaspy

Colombe G. Gillaspy 95, of Millville, went to be with the Lord Tuesday July 3, 2018 at the Gardens at Millville. Colombe was born October 28, 1922 in Bryn Mawr, PA, a daughter of the late Roy Gordner and Reeta (Robbins) Gordner Wagner. She graduated from Millville High School Class of 1941. Colombe was a life member of Millville Civic Club, Millville Fire Co. Auxiliary, Eastern Star Chapter239, Millville Grange # 52. Colombe was a Welcome Wagon representative in Millville. Also a member of St. John's Lutheran Church where she was a member of the ladies aide, taught Sunday School, where she served on the Church Council, and sang in the Church Choir. In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by her husband Glen H. (Bud) Gillaspy on September 25, 2002, and brother Roy Gordner Jr. who was killed in action during World War II. Colombe is survived by two children; Gene Gillaspy and wife Judy of Hazleton, Gail Lutz and husband Frank of Millville, eight grandchildren: Anjanette Johnston, Trisha Whispell, April Ring, Joseph Lutz, Matthew Gillaspy, Christopher Gillaspy, Shaun Gillaspy, Kristen Rarig, 16 great-grandchildren, and brother Carl Gordner of Berwick. Services will be Saturday July 7, 2018 at 11:00 am at St. John's Lutheran Church, 68 Gordner Church Road, Unityville, with her Pastor Ron Montgomery officiating. Burial will follow at Millville Cemetery. Family will receive friends from 10:00 am until 10:45 am at the church. The Eastern Star Service will be at 10:45 am at the Church. Friends unable to attend the services may send condolences to bunnellfuneralhome.com. In lieu of flowers contributions in Colombe's memory may be sent to St. John's Lutheran Church. Bunnell Funeral Home Inc. 179 East Main St. Millville Pa. 17846 is in charge of arrangements.
