Dale L Young

Dale L. Young, 75, of Millville passed away on Wednesday February 26, 2025 at his residence surrounded by his family. He was born Marh 9, 1949 in Bloomsburg, a son of the late Bruce O. and Lula (Musselman) Young.

He attended Benton High School, and then worked at Kawneer, drove truck, then owned and operated Young’s Disposal, until he retired and farmed. Dale loved to restore tractors, go hunting and fishing, collect eagles, and go to auctions.

Dale is survived by his wife the former Betty Snyder, whom he married July 3, 1967, three daughters: Laurie Gentzel of Berwick, Loretta Peters husband Alan of Catawissa, Lynn Shaffer husband Andrew of Berwick, 11 grandchildren: Ryan, Erin, Kayla, Mason, Ashley, Joseph, Taylor, Tristian, Anthony, Cole, Alexis, 15 great-grandchildren, two brothers: Carlton “Butch” Young wife Connie of Benton, Larry Young wife Cindy of Millville, and sister Evelyn Schultz husband Robert of Millville.

Dale was preceded in death by his parents, as well as great-grandson Landyn Allen Zerby, three brothers: Charles Young, Donald Young, Bruce Young, and two sisters: Mary Lou DeFrain, and Edna Gearhart.

Services will be Saturday March 8, 2025 at 11:00 am at Bunnell Funeral Home Inc., 179 E. Main St., Millville with Pastor John McCarty officiating. Burial will be at the convenience of the family. Family will receive friends from 10:00 am until time of service at the funeral home.
