David E. Bardo, 75, of Bloomsburg passed away on Friday May 26, 2023, at Geisinger Medical Center Danville. He was born August 23, 1947, in Bloomsburg, a son of the late Gilbert E. and Catherine (Zeisloft) Bardo.
He graduated from Bloomsburg High School class of 1965 and from Williamsport Community College. After graduation he joined the United States Army Reserves. Dave worked at Employment Carpenters Union, Wickes Lumber Co, and retired from Your Building Center in 2009.
Dave was the former fire chief for Buckhorn Fire Co. for 20 years where he was a life member, former Hemlock Township Supervisor, and past president and life member of Jerseytown Hunting Club.
David is survived by his son David A. Bardo wife Nicole of Kulpmont, daughter Tammy R. Lunger husband David of Florida, brother James E. Bardo wife Deborah, nephews Daniel and Mark Bardo, and six grandchildren, and five great-grandchildren, and his companion Jean Rodriguez.
David was preceded in death by his wife Phyllis Bardo who passed away July 2017, daughter Sherry A. Lunger who passed away February 2017, twin brother and sister Duane and Denise Bardo who passed away in 1962.
Services will be Thursday June 1, 2023, at 10:00 am at Bunnell Funeral Home Inc, 179 E. Main St., Millville with Pastor Chris Dunlap officiating. Burial will follow at Dutch Hill Cemetery. Family will receive friends Wednesday May 31, 2023, from 5:00 pm until 7:00 pm at the funeral home.
