David Mark Conrad

David Mark Conrad, 56, of Bloomsburg passed away on Wednesday, May 26, 2021 after a ten-year battle with liposarcoma. He was born on September 20, 1964 in Berwick, Pennsylvania to the late Lucien "Joe" and Janet (Yohey) Conrad. He was married to Marisa (Miccio) Conrad, and they had three children: Katrina, Brandon, and Cheyenne.

Dave was a 1982 graduate of Berwick High School where he was an accomplished cross country and track competitor for the Bulldogs. He began working for Wise Foods out of high school and was employed for 33 years. Dave enjoyed quality time with his family including vacations to North Wildwood, NJ, traveling to wrestling tournaments across the country, and sitting around the campfire. An avid sports fan, Dave's favorite teams were the Michigan Wolverines and the major league teams of Pittsburgh, especially the Steelers. He also proudly supported his kids by cheering for Bloomsburg High School, Bloomsburg University, Lycoming College, and LSU. Dave often impressed his friends and family with his ability to recall sports trivia. He loved to golf and cruise on his '96 Harley Sportster often in charity rides with his wife. Consistently showing his devotion to his children, Dave was always shouting and coaching from the sidelines at countless sporting events for everything from cheerleading to field hockey to wrestling. Dave also adored his grandson, Dominic, and his Golden Pyrenees, Duncan. 

Dave was a patient at Memorial Sloan Kettering Cancer Center (MSKCC) for the last ten years since his diagnosis of rare liposarcoma. He courageously fought this aggressive cancer and was regarded as a miracle of both medicine and will. His warrior spirit will continue to inspire even in his passing.

Dave will be greatly missed by his loving wife Marisa; daughter Katrina and late son-in-law Michael Dessino and their son, Dominic; son Brandon and fiancée Ava; daughter Cheyenne; late parents Lucien and Janet; father and mother-in-law Philip and Barbara Miccio; late brother-in-law Philip Miccio Jr. and wife Christine and their children Ashley and Bradley; brother-in-law Michael Miccio and fiancée Michele; sister-in-law Kimberly Barrett and husband David and their children Kaitlin and the late Carissa; brother-in-law Christopher Miccio and wife Linda and their daughter Danielle. 

Services will be held on Sunday, June 13th at 3:00 pm at Wesley United Methodist Church in Bloomsburg. Family will receive friends at 2:00pm, and a service will follow at 3:00pm. In lieu of flowers, donations can be made in Dave's memory to Cycle for Survival through MSKCC by visiting www.cycleforsurvival.org.
