Dennis Hendrickson Obituary

Dennis Hendrickson, 79, of Danville, passed away Dec. 15, 2022, at Vintage Knolls, Danville, surrounded by his family. He was born Jan. 13, 1943, in Danville, a son of the late Byron and Violet (Lawton) Hendrickson.

He graduated from Danville High School and then joined the United States Army serving during Vietnam War receiving the Vietnam Service Medal. Dennis was a member of the Danville American Legion Post 40 and Hendrickson United Methodist Church, Danville. He loved riding his Harley Davidson motorcycle, going dancing, going to festivals, and socializing,

Dennis is survived by significant other, Gay Fisk; three children: Denise Bausch, husband, Kurt, of Suffolk, Va., Brian Hendrickson, wife, Bethi, of Danville, Michael Hendrickson, wife, Jill, of Port Lavaca, Texas; 11 grandchildren; six great-grandchildren; brother, Jerry Hendrickson, of Shamokin; and numerous nieces and nephews.

Dennis was preceded in death by his parents, as well as his son, Steven Hendrickson, who passed away on Dec. 29, 2019; three brothers: John, Charles, Russell Hendrickson; and two sisters: Shirley Hendrickson, and twin sister, Darlis Hendrickson.

Services will be Tuesday, Dec. 20, 2022, at 11 a.m. at Hendrickson United Methodist Church, 380 Cameltown Hill Road, Danville, with Pastor Dwayne Nichols officiating. Burial will follow at Hendrickson United Methodist Cemetery. Family will receive friends at the church from 10 a.m. until time of service.
