Doris A (Brecht) Brown

Doris A. Brown, 88, of Berwick passed away on Monday May 5, 2025 at her residence surrounded by her family. She was born December 6, 1936 in Danville, a daughter of the late John and Irene (Jones) Brecht.

She attended Danville Schools and worked at the Millville Elementary School in the cafeteria. Doris enjoyed spending time with her family, cooking, baking, canning, gardening, sewing, watching wild life outside, and listening to music.

Doris is survived by three sons: Basil Brown wife Laurie of Berwick, Garry Brown wife Janet of Bloomsburg, Ronnie Brown wife Cheri of Berwick, 11 grandchildren, and 23 great-grandchildren. As well as two sisters Emma Gordner and Mary Ruth Carr, both of Danville.

Doris was preceded in death by her parents as well as her husband Harvey A. Brown, who passed away on November 13, 2006, two sons: Barry and Larry Brown, and three siblings: Jack Brecht, William Brecht, and June Doran.

Services will be Friday May 9, 2025 at 11:00 am at the Bunnell Funeral Home Inc., 179 E. Main St., Millville with Pastor Robert Strozyk officiating. Burial will follow at Pine Summit Cemetery. Family will receive friends from 10:00 am until time of service at the funeral home. Following the burial there will be a light meal and refreshments, at the Mill-Green United Methodist church social hall,  Millville , pa.
