Dorothy R. Snyder, 90, of 101 Train St. (Rupert) passed away Wednesday, August 25, 2010 at Bloomsburg Health Care Center. She was born in Sybertsville, September 11, 1919, a daughter of the late William and Emma "Houseknecht" Halterman. Dorothy lived in Rupert for 62 years. She graduated from West Hazelton High School. She is a member of the Rupert United Methodist Church for over fifty years and was the children's Sunday school superintendent for many years. Dorothy was preceded in death by her husband Elmer W. Snyder who passed away February 12, 1991 and four brothers Francis, Walter, Carl and Harold Halterman and a sister Marion Shultz. She is survived by a son Wayne Snyder and his wife Linda of Rupert, and a daughter Gloria and her husband Jack Millard of Rupert and three grandsons Lee Millard and his wife Lisa, Tim Snyder and Mike Snyder and his wife Annie and one great granddaughter Bjé
