Douglas A. Blue

Douglas A. Blue, 66, of Millville, passed away Monday, May 7, 2012 at Geisinger Medical Center. He was born December 4, 1945 in Bloomsburg Hospital, a son of the late Woodrow Wilson Blue and Alice Merea Whitmoyer Blue Evans. He attended Millville Schools. He is a member of the Pine Summit United Methodist Church. Doug enjoyed camping, hunting, fishing, cutting firewood and country music. He was a mechanic in Millville his entire life; from his engineers mind Doug would design tools to make life easier. Doug especially loved spending time with family and friends and enjoyed his dogs. He is survived by his wife the former Dona Whitmoyer with whom he married May 12, 1973, two daughters Kasey A. and her husband Charles Joseph Killmeyer and Carrie A. Blue all of Millville, four brothers Dale Blue and his wife Maxine of Danville, Don Blue of Millville, Dean Blue and his wife Eleanor of Orangeville, and Timothy Blue of Hughesville, two sisters Kaye Blue of Orangeville and Vivian and her husband Larry Brown of Unityville. Services will be Saturday at 11:00 am at Pine Summit United Methodist Church 945 Church Rd. Unityville, Pa 17774 with his pastor Paul Dauenbaugh officiating. Burial will be at Pine Summit Cemetery. The family will receive friends Friday from 6:00 pm until 8:00 pm at Bunnell Funeral Home, Inc. 179 E. Main St. Millville, Pa 17846. In lieu of flowers contributions can be made in Doug's Memory to the Pine Summit United Methodist Church Po Box 362 Millville, Pa 17846.
