E. Jane Litterer, 94, of Millville passed away Sunday March 10, 2019 at her residence. She was born June 19, 1924 in Eyersgrove, a daughter of the late Frank L. and Anna Lois (Thomas) Smith Sr.
She graduated from Millville High School class of 1942 where she was valedictorian. Jane retired from Nationwide Insurance Agency, Millville where she was a secretary. She was on the election board, judge of election, and Sunday school teacher at church. Jane was a former member of St. Paul's Church in Millville, and currently a member of St. John's Lutheran Church, Espy. She loved to knit, read, plant her garden, and spend time with her family.
Jane is survived by two children; John C. Litterer and wife Cindy of Bloomsburg, Mariann L. Crone and husband Joe of Bloomsburg, three grandchildren; Bryna Hock, Stephanie O'Brien, Jess Sember, and four great-grandchildren; Logan, Carter, Emma, and Kayleigh.
Jane was preceded in death by her husband John Glen Litterer, who passed away February 12, 2010, son Steven (Skippy) Galen Litterer who passed away in 1952, and three siblings; Helen Bangs, Frank Smith Jr., and Galen Smith.
Services will be Thursday March 14, 2019 at 3:30 pm at Bunnell Funeral Home Inc., 179 E. Main St., Millville with Pastor Gordon Smith officiating. Burial will follow at Millville Cemetery. Family will receive friends from 2:00 pm until time of service.
In lieu of flowers contributions in Jane's memory may be sent to St. John Lutheran Church, 2575 Old Berwick Road, Bloomsburg, PA 17815.
