Eddie R Bitler

Eddie R. Bitler, 86, of Millville, passed away on Monday, Jan. 14, 2025, at the Gardens at Millville.

He was born Sept. 23, 1938, in Greenwood Township, a son of the late Bruce and Grace (Greenly) Bitler.

He graduated from Millville High School and then worked at Carrie McFalls, then Arnold Kinny Construction, Country Made Sportswear, and then worked at Milco until retiring. Eddie was a member of Pine Center Methodist Church. He enjoyed hunting, fishing, and farming. 

Eddie is survived by three children: Debra Libby, husband, William, of Millville, Brad Bitler, wife, Lori, of Millville, Brent Bitler, wife, Diane, of Berwick; nine grandchildren; 24 great-grandchildren; and one great-great-grandson; as well as brother, Lee Bitler, of Arcadia, Florida; and two sisters: Linda Phillips and Susan Bitler, both of Millville. 

Eddie was preceded in death by his parents, as well as his wife, the former Beverly Parson, who passed away on Nov. 13, 2022; and three sisters: Doris Woodside, Eleanor Bardo, and Margaret Bardo.

Services will be Monday, Jan. 20, 2025, at 11:30 a.m. at Pine Center Church, 58 Pine Center Church Road, Millville, with Pastor Robert Beaver officiating. Burial will follow at Pine Center Cemetery.
