Edith Ann Kessler, 81, of Millville, peacefully joined ourLord, Friday June 17, 2022, at her residence surrounded by her loving family.
Edith was born in Millville on June 27, 1940, a daughter of the late Maynard O. and Marion (Eves) Artman Baker. In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by her son, Joseph M. Kessler, grandson, Randy T. Walker, granddaughter, Brandi L. Johnson, brother, James Artman, sister, Carol Artman Kaler, and stepsister, Barbara Baker Evans.
Edith attended Millville schools and was a member of the Mill-Green United Methodist Church, attending the Greenwood location. In the early years she worked at Bakers Locker Plant and Pen Col Dairy. After raising her children, she joined her husband to work with him as an over the road (owner/operator) truck driver for 22 years before retiring in 2004. Edith always had a smile on her face and a word of encouragement, even if she didn’t know you. She loved her family, always looking out for them, cherishing her time, and holding them close. She enjoyed scrap booking, gardening, cooking, visiting with friends, and traveling with her husband.
Edith is survived by her husband of 64 years, Larry “Joe” Kessler, two daughters, Victoria and her husband Jay Mull, Tammy, and her husband Jerry; eight grandchildren, Viola Bacon (Ken), Ray Walker (Jamie), Tony Kessler (Laura), Aaron Kessler, Amanda Kessler, Wendi Miller, Stephanie Hush (Chris), Lizz Dyson (Jonny); 9 great grandchildren, and numerous nieces and nephews.
Services will be Friday June 24, 2022, at 11:00 am at the Mill-Green United Methodist Church, 466 Old Greenwood Rd., Millville with Pastor Robert Strozyk officiating. Family will receive friends at the church from 10:00 am until time of service.
In lieu of flowers contributions in her memory may be sent to Mill-Green United Methodist Church.
