Edna Harding Obituary
Edna Harding, 94, of Millville joined other members of her beloved family in heaven on Monday, March 4. She was the daughter of the late Jack and Betty (Mills) Fenstamaker.
Edna was married to Carl Harding, son of the late Lee and Maggie Harding, of Muncy. Carl preceded her in death on May 25, 1999 after 55 years of marriage.
A graduate of Hughesville High School in 1942, she resided in Millville for the next 68 years. She was an employee of Millville Mutual Insurance Company for 35 years before retiring in 1989. She held the position of Secretary of the company and also supervisor of administration. She remained Secretary of the Board of directors until the year 1993. In 1994 she rejoined the work world and started working as a tour bus hostess for the King Coal Bus Tour Company for the next 18 years.
Edna enjoyed many happy hours with her two grandsons and she will be remembered by them and her many friends as a fun loving person who enjoyed life.
Edna was a faithful member of the Mill-Green United Methodist Church in Millville. She was the longest active member of the Millville Women's Civic Club on record, a total of 66 years. Other organizations she was involved in were 39+ of Hughesville, Bloomsburg Hospital Auxiliary and a board member of Bloomsburg Habitat for Humanity.
Edna is survived by her only son Don and wife Joyce of Millville, two grandsons; Corb Harding of Unityville, and Dr. Mitch Harding of Philadelphia. She is the last surviving member of her family. Her brother George Fenstamaker died on September 3, 2005.
A memorial service will be Friday March 8, 2019 at 11:00 am at Mill-Green United Methodist Church, S State Street and Walnut Street, Millville with her pastor, Pastor Robert Strozyk officiating. Burial will be at the convenience of the family. Family will receive friends from 10:00 am until time of service.
In lieu of flowers the family suggest contributions in Edna's memory be made to Mill-Green United Methodist Church, PO Box 470 Millville, PA, 17846.
