Elizabeth Jill (Schuster) Seward

Elizabeth Jill Seward, 78, passed away peacefully at her home on September 25, 2023. She was born February 2, 1945, in Philadelphia, a daughter of the late Elizabeth Burhans Schuster and William Hill Schuster.

She graduated from Benton High School class of 1963 and then went to Empire Beauty School in Wilkes Barre, PA. Later on, she became a licensed massage therapist where she was also a Reiki and reflexology practitioner. Elizabeth also was a part time motorcycle safety instructor.

She was active with the Fishing Creek Herb Guild and had a very diverse flower and herb garden. She went on several motorcycle adventures with her husband Bill and enjoyed several vacations with her sister Jeannette and her husband.

Elizabeth enjoyed photography and took many nature inspiring photos. She loved cats and the cats knew it as they would magically appear at her home.

Elizabeth is survived by her loving husband William Seward of 58 years, daughter Jeannette Seward, brother William Lee Schuster, and sister Jeannette Alice Levan.

Elizabeth was preceded in death by her parents as well as two sisters Julie Ann Weber and Elaine Hazle Dent.

A celebration of life will be held Saturday October 28, 2023, at 11:00 am at St. John’s Community Church, 154 North Third St., Catawissa. There is no off-street parking, please carpool if you can.

She loved flowers but donations in her memory sent to the church would be nice instead of flowers.
