Esmerelda D (Woodside) Ray

Esmerelda D. Ray, 84, of Danville passed away Saturday, April 29,2023 at Grandview Nursing and Rehabilitation.  She was born October 10, 1938, in Greenwood Township, a daughter of the late Cyrus Woodside and Almerta (Kitchen) Woodside.  

She attended Danville School District.  She worked as a secretary/receptionist for Jordan Plumbing and Heating.  Esmerelda enjoyed sewing, arts and crafts. 

Esmerelda is survived by one son Jeffrey Ray and his wife Kristi of Danville three daughters, Mindy and her husband Kenneth Brown of Stephentown, NY., Tina and her husband Dan Reilly and Deborah and her husband Gary Wertman, both of Danville, thirteen grandchildren, nine great grandchildren and one great great grandson Finn. She is also survived by brothers Lee and wife  Brenda Woodside of Danville and Bertram Woodside, Buffalo, NY, sisters Gayle and her husband Paul Gotshall of  Bordantown NJ, and Diane Walter of Danville, Pa. 

Esmerelda was preceded in death by her husband Walter H. and brother Ward Woodside and son Calvin Bartholomew Jr.

Celebration of life will be held on Tuesday May 2, 2023, at 3:00 pm Bunnell Funeral Home,179 E. Main Street, Millville, with Pastor Martin Parr officiating. Burial will be at the convenience of the family. Family will receive friends at the funeral home from 2:00 pm until the time of service.
