Faye L. Obituary

Faye L. Mausteller, 85, of Bloomsburg, passed away on Saturday May 18, 2019 at Vintage Knolls Senior Living Community, Danville. She was born on the family farm located in Hemlock Township, Columbia County. Faye was the youngest daughter of the late Eber A. and Rachel T. (Eves) Mausteller.
She was a 1951 graduate of Bloomsburg High School, and was a faithful member of St. Peter's Lutheran Church, Columbia Hill, where she served as a long time Sunday school teacher. She retired from Bloomsburg University in 1991, where she was employed in the accounts receivable department for 30 years. Faye lived at her current address since 1986.
Faye enjoyed volunteering for many years at EOS, the therapeutic horseback riding program, by leading the horses, or spotting for handicapped children and adults. She spent several years at the Columbia County Day Care Center, where she assisted in feeding breakfast to infants. She also participated in staffing the PA P.E.T.S. shop located in Bloomsburg, Bloomsburg Hospital Auxillary, and the Hemlock Home Makers.
Her favorite past times were knitting beautiful clothing items for her family, belonging to a bowling league at the P-Nut Bowl, traveling in the United States and Europe, going to the movies, caring for her various dogs throughout the years, and spending time with her family.
Faye is survived by her nieces and nephews: Elanor Greenly (Robert) of Millville, Edward Beagle (Holly) of Benton, Carol Emerick of Montoursville, Shirley Brobst of Bloomsburg and Judy Brubaker of Bloomsburg. Also surviving is her sister-in-law: Mae Mausteller of Bloomsburg. She leaves behind great nieces and nephews: Lori, Lynn, Leigh, Leslie, Christopher, Charles, Michael, Michelle, Maxanne, Robert, Gregory and Ryan. She is also survived by numerous great-great and great-great-great nieces and nephews.
Predeceasing Faye were her sisters: Pauline Whitenight and Mary Crossley, and her brothers: Harold Mausteller and Robert Mausteller, along with a great nephew and great-great-great nephew.
The family will dearly miss their Aunt Faye, but have wonderful memories of her conducting the annual Easter egg hunts on the farm, the yearly trips to Knoebel's Grove, the extended family surrounding the table for holiday meals, of her delicious homemade shoo-fly pie and Watergate salad, and especially her smile.
