Franklin D. "Frank" Stackhouse

Franklin "Frank" D. Stackhouse, 78, of Bloomsburg, passed away Thursday, August 08, 2013 at Millville Health Care. He was born September 22, 1934 in Unityville, a son of the late Hurley and Suzie Long Stackhouse. Frank served in the United States Army for twenty years, serving during both The Korean Conflict and Vietnam. Frank started Stackhouse and Son well drilling in 1971. He is a member of the Bloomsburg VFW Post 804 and the Millville American Legion Post 564 where he was the past commander. He also belonged to the Bloomsburg Elk Lodge 436 and the Oriental Lodge 465 of Orangeville. He also belonged to the Pennsylvania Ground Water Association and the National Ground Water Association. He also belonged to the Emanuel Dutch Hill Bible Church where he was an elder. He was preceded in death by a brother Jay Adams. He is survived by his wife the former Joyce Titman with whom he married January 29, 1954 and a son Dave K. Stackhouse and his wife Kathy "his favorite daughter-in-law" of Bloomsburg and three daughters Kathy and her husband John Isola of Greenwood, Indiana, Linda and her husband Terry Swartz of Millville and Teresa "Tink" Davenport and her companion Troy Woytovich of Shoemakersville, Pa and sixteen grandchildren, twenty great grandchildren and one great great grandson. He is also survived by four brothers Mitchell Miller of North Carolina, Jack Stackhouse of Millville, Paul Stackhouse and Byron Stackhouse both of Unityville and a sister Betty Robbins of Buckhorn. Services will be Monday at 11:00 am at New Testament Assembly of God 2376 Pennsylvania 42 Millville, Pa 17846. Burial will be at Millville Cemetery. The family will receive friends Sunday from 6:00 pm until 8:00 pm at New Testament Assembly of God 2376 Pennsylvania 42 Millville, Pa 17846.
