Franklin M. Whitenight 89, of Millville, went to be with the Lord, Saturday October 5, 2024, at his residence. He was born July 9, 1935, in Bloomsburg, a son of the late Bruce and Genevieve (Lyons) Whitenight.
He was a graduate of Millville High School Class of 1954 and joined the Air Force during the Vietnam Conflict. Franklin worked for Milco in Bloomsburg for over 40 years. He enjoyed farming, fishing, hunting, and Penn State Football.
Franklin is survived by his three daughters; Debra, Tammy, and Sherry Whitenight all of Millville, three grandchildren Julie Traver, Anthony Traver, Charles Traver, and six great grandchildren.
In addition to his parents he was preceded in death by his wife Patricia (Swisher) Whitenight on April 27, 1993, son Richard Whitenight, two great granddaughters Mia Traver and Riley Titman and three siblings, Bruce, and Robert (Bobby) Whitenight, and sister Barbara Fenstermaker.
Services will be, Thursday October 10, 2024, at 11:00 am from the Bunnell Funeral Home Inc. 179 E. Main Street Millville Pa. 17846. With Pastor Mark Messner officiating. Burial will be at Columbia Hill Cemetery, Danville. The family will receive friends from 10: 00 am until time of service at the funeral home.
