Gale A (Spudes) Stewart

Gale A. Stewart, 79, of Bloomsburg passed away on Saturday October 15, 2022 at Geisinger Bloomsburg Hospital. She was born May 25, 1943 in Scotch Valley, a daughter of the late Peter and Elena (Hinterliter) Spudes.

She graduated from Bloomsburg High School and worked at Bloom Floral and Home Depot. She enjoyed painting, working with flowers, being a seamstress, and spending time at her Jamison City Cabin. Gale loved being with her family.

Gale is survived by her husband Robert J. Stewart, whom she married May 27, 1961, daughter Mary-Kay Force and husband Harold of Bloomsburg, two grandchildren; Lindsey Maxwell, Jessica Hakes, three great-grandchildren; Madeline Maxwell, Elora and Karis Hakes. As well as two brothers; Carl Spudes wife Cathy of Sunbury, Wayne Spudes of Bloomsburg, and two sisters; Pearl Broadt of Shamokin Dam, and Sandy Insinga of Bloomsburg.

Graveside services will be held Thursday October 20, 2022 at 11:00 am at New Rosemont Cemetery, Bloomsburg with Pastor Chris Dunlap officiating.
