George C. Schickley

George C. Schickley Sr., 75, of Bloomsburg, passed Saturday, January 26, 2013 at his home. He was born July 6, 1937 in Shamokin, Pa, a son of the late James and Marcella Schmoyer Schickley. He graduated from Shamokin High School. He served in the United States Army. He has been in the Bloomsburg area since 1977.He is a member of the Bloomsburg V.F.W. Post 804 and the Bloomsburg American Legion Post 541 and the AARP. He is survived by a son George C. Schickley Jr. of Virginia and a daughter Christine and her husband Mark Kiser of Virginia a grandson Gregory Ews Duffek and a great granddaughter Skylene Duffek and a brother Robert Schickley of Berwick. A memorial service will be Wednesday at 11:00 am at Rodger T. Bunnell Funeral Home 435 Market St. Bloomsburg with Pastor Allen Acor officiating. Burial will be at the convenience of the family.
