Glenn R Houck

Glenn R. Houck, 86, of Millville, passed away Tuesday, Nov. 1, 2022, at Geisinger Medical Center, Danville. He was born April 29, 1936, in Briar Creek Township, a son of the late Leonard E. Sr. and Emily (Pettit) Houck.

He graduated from Berwick High School in 1954. Glenn was a farmer and then worked at Milco in Bloomsburg, for 38.5 years, retiring in 1998. He was a member of St. Matthew’s Lutheran Church for over 60 years and a member of the Southside Conservation Club, Numidia. He has been at his present address since 1968.

Glenn is survived by his wife, the former Mary Ruth Stadler, whom he married Sept. 24, 1967; three children: Edward Houck, wife, Barb, of Selinsgrove, Walter Hauck, wife, Annette, of Milton, Diane Showers, husband, Dan, of Millville; sister, Doris Kile, husband, Allen, of Millville; two stepsons: Neil Mumper, wife, Bonnie of Chambersburg, and Jeffery Mumper, wife, Kathy, of Las Vegas.

Glenn was preceded in death by his parents; two brothers: Leonard Houck Jr., Donald Houck; and sister, Louise Miller.

Services will be Tuesday, Nov. 8, 2022, at 11 a.m. at Rodger T. Bunnell Funeral Home, 435 Market St., Bloomsburg, with Pastor Joel Zeiders officiating. Burial will follow at Elan Memorial Park. Family will receive friends from 10 a.m. until time of service at the funeral home.
