Hazel A (Lewis) Steinruck

Hazel A. Steinruck, 90, of Unityville passed away on Tuesday January 30, 2024, at her residence. She was born August 18, 1933, in Hillsgrove, PA, a daughter of the late Jonathan W. Sr and Velma Rhoda (Bartlow) Lewis.

She went to Loyalsock Joint High School in Estella. Hazel attended Richards Grove Church where she played the piano. She was a member of the American Legion Auxiliary Post 601 in Sonestown. She enjoyed traveling, doing word searches, playing piano, and playing games on her computer.

Hazel is survived by three children; Betty Whitmoyer and her husband Tom of Millville, Teresa Gordner of Unityville, Joseph Steinruck wife Jane of Millville, four grandchildren; Darcy Steinruck, Shawna Steinruck, Daniel Eaton, Sabrina Lantinga, seven great-grandchildren, and five great-great-grandchildren. As well as two brothers Theron Lewis wife Donna, Francis Lewis, and sister Charlotte Gavitt.

Hazel was preceded in death by her husband William L. Steinruck, who passed away on March 21, 1986, two sons; Richard and William D. Steinruck, brother Jonathan W. Lewis Jr, sister Jewel Sullivan, and two grandchildren Jonathan Gordner and Ann Derr.
