Helen J. Fry departed this life on March 24, 2026, at the Glenbrook Nursing and Rehab in Berwick surrounded by her family. Born in Berwick on June 16, 1937, a daughter of the late Arthur and Jessie (Moser) Johns.
Helen's life was rich with the love of her family. She was a devoted mother to James L. Fry and his wife Paula of Catawissa, Terry E. Fry and his wife Sandy of Catawissa, and Jessie Weisenberger and her husband Kevin of Milton. Her legacy continued to blossom with 9 grandchildren, 18 great-grandchildren, and 17 great-great-grandchildren. As well as her sister Harriet Artley of Bloomsburg.
She was preceded in death by her beloved parents, her cherished husband James Fry, who passed away on December 24, 2007, and her dear daughter Barbara Carl, who left this world too soon on December 5, 2013. As well as two sisters Fannie Ernest and Gloria Boone.
She attended Lime Ridge Schools and was a dedicated member for many years to Dillions Floral, from which she retired. She found joy in sewing, a craft through which she expressed her love and creativity. Her hands, always busy, also turned to crocheting, producing countless warm and beautiful creations. Her garden was her sanctuary, a place where she cultivated not just plants but peace and serenity, reaping bountiful harvests that she generously shared.
Services will be at the convenience of the family. Family and friends may send online condolences to bunnellfuneralhome.com. The Bunnell Funeral Home Inc., Millville is handling arrangements.
