Hilda J. Stamm Hoffman, 94, of Danville passed away Saturday February 29, 2020 at Vintage Knolls Assisted Living, Danville. She was born December 3, 1925 in Cleveland Township, a daughter of the late Walter and Rosie (Lewellyn) Meek.
Hilda attended Jerseytown School and graduated from Millville High School. She worked with her husband in their excavation company from Jerseytown until his death moving to Millertown later and running her own corset business for over 20 years. Hilda also worked and volunteered at the Women's Center of Bloomsburg for several years. She was a member of the Lightstreet Methodist Church. She enjoyed senior bowling, square dancing, crocheting, crafts, and mostly her family.
Hilda is survived by two daughters; Sadie Rose Smith of Danville, Joy Ann Hutton of Bloomsburg, daughter-in-law Sharon Stamm of Shamokin, four grandchildren, four great-grandchildren, and four great-great-grandchildren.
Hilda was preceded in death by her parents, husband D. Foster Stamm, son Walter L. Stamm, three sisters; Edna A. Lyons, Velma Warner, Ethel C. Laycock, and brother John V. Meek.
Services will be at the convenience of the family at Elan Memorial Park. In lieu of flowers contributions in her memory may be sent to Lightstreet Methodist Church, 1640 Main St., Bloomsburg, PA, 17815.
