Ira F Whitmoyer

Ira F. Whitmoyer, 82 of Bloomsburg Pa, went to be with the Lord Friday August 12, 2011 at Bloomsburg Health Care Center. Born October 24, 1928, a son of the late Frank and Emma Young Whitmoyer. He was employed by Narehood in Washingtonville, and also Freidmans Trucking of Bloomsburg, Pa. He enjoyed hunting deer and gardening. In addition to his parents he was preceded in death by two brothers, George and Arden Whitmoyer, six sisters Thelma Snyder, Freda Miller, Elizabeth Shultz, Alverta Snyder, Reba Allen and Merea Blue Evans. He is survived by his wife the former Audrey V. Rishel. They were married September 1, 1945. Two sons James Whitmoyer, wife Judy of Muncy, Pa. William Whitmoyer of Berwick. A daughter Sharon Meek, husband Larry of Bloomsburg, Pa. Also, six grandchildren and eight great-grandchildren. Two sisters, Stella Bodman of Bloomsburg, Pa., and Pauline Hartman of Danville, Pa. Services will be Tuesday, August 16, 2011 at 11:00 AM at the Bunnell Funeral Home Inc. 179 East Main Street, Millville, Pa., with the Reverend Nathan King officiating. Burial will be at Elan Memorial Park. Family will receive friends Monday from 6:00 to 8:00 PM. and Tuesday from 10:00AM till time of service at the funeral home.
