Obituary
Irene Curio, 94, of Bloomsburg passed away on Wednesday March 1, 2023 at Geisinger Bloomsburg Hospital. She was born June 27, 1928 in Wilkes Barre a daughter of the late Ezra and Hazel (Shafer) Kesler.
She married her husband John “Jack” Curio on May 8, 1947. Together they enjoyed traveling and boating. Irene enjoyed reading, crocheting, and QVC.
In addition to her parents she was preceded in death by her husband Jack, grandson John Curio III., and one sister.
Irene is survived by her sons John (Linda) Curio of Berwick, Anthony (Lucille) Curio of Catawissa, sister and brother of Bloomsburg, four grandchildren; Anthony Jr. (Geri) Curio, Jennifer Curio, Jason Curio, and Michael (Mallory) Curio, seven great-grandchildren; Staff Sgt. US Army Joseph Curio, Kyle Curio, Brayden Curio, Aliyah Curio, Izaiah Curio, Uriah Curio, Oliviah Curio, three great-great- grandchildren; Zaynn, Jenson, and Caysen.
The family would like to thank the staff at Geisinger Bloomsburg Hospital for their compassion and care.
As per Irene’s request there will be no services. Burial will be at the convenience of the family. Family and friends may send online condolences to bunnellfuneralhome.com.
