Jennings "JJ" R. Johnson II.

Jennings “JJ” R. Johnson II., 82, of Mifflinville passed away on Monday May 13, 2024 at his residence. He was born December 26, 1941 in Fairbanks, Alaska, a son of the late Jennings R. and Dorothy (Heath) Johnson. He was one of three sons.

He graduated High School in Fairbanks, Alaska and then joined the United States Navy.  JJ worked as a diesel mechanic at local garages before retiring. He loved his trains and model airplanes, where he built a train track in his basement. He was a wonderful mechanic and could fix anything, and passed the trade onto his children teaching them along the way.

Jennings is survived by his wife the former Stacie L. Brown, whom he married December 26, 1988, celebrating 35 years of marriage, six children; Jennings Robert Johnson III. wife Paula of Cleveland, TN, Kevin Johnson of TN, Lindsay Hall husband James of Buffalo, NY, Jeremy Johnson wife Rebecca of Mifflinville, Sam Johnson of Bloomsburg, Zachary Johnson wife Nichol of Berwick, 12 grandchildren, and three great-grandchildren.

Graveside services will be held Saturday May 18, 2024 at 11:00 am Jerseytown Cemetery, PA 254 Bloomsburg with Pastor Doug Lyons officiating. Family and friends may send online condolences to bunnellfuneralhome.com. The Bunnell Funeral Home Inc., Millville is handling arrangements.
