John K. Gordner, 86, of Chestnut St. Millville, passed away Wednesday, September 15, 2010 at his home. He was born December 24, 1923 in Pine Township, a son of the late Thomas S. and Helen (Long) Gordner. He graduated from Millville High School in 1941. He is a member of the Millville Christian Church and he was an Elder Emertis at the church. He also belonged to the Millville Fire Company and Valley Grange 52. He was a former board member of the Millville Town Council and a board member of the Millville Cemetery Association for many years. He was a truck driver for Penn-Dot and he also farmed and drove school bus. He was preceded in death by his wife Mary Kessler who passed away April 13, 2010, a brother Glenn T. Gordner who passed away December 23, 1989. He is survived by a daughter Jill and her husband Richard Deihl and two grandsons Michael Deihl and his wife Faith, Matthew Deihl and his wife Brooke and four great grandchildren Karley, Kirstyn, Kyle and Olyvia Deihl all of Orangeville. Services will be Saturday at 10:00 am at Millville Christian Church 245 E. Main St. Millville with his Pastor Richard Plocinski officiating. Burial will be at Millville Cemetery. The family will receive friends Friday from 6:00 pm until 8:00pm at Bunnell Funeral Home, Inc. 179 E. Main St. Millville, Pa. Memorial contribution can be made in his memory to the Millville Christian Church Building Fund, Po Box 130, Millville, Pa 17846.
