John “Jim” Contrevo

John (aka Jim) peace-fully passed, at age 92, from his earthly life amidst gentle caresses, joyful music and singing and immense love into the eternal welcome em- brace of his Heavenly Father. John is reunited with his parents Erminia (Corso) Contrevo and Frank Contrevo as well
as his grandchildren Kristen Wagner and James
Brian Contrevo Jr. Beloved Dad to Kathleen (Mike) Jones, Patti Bradeis, Kim Contrevo, James B.(Kelly) Contrevo, 8 grandchildren, 19 great-grandchildren and 1 great-great-grandchild. John will be missed greatly by his 'favorite cousin' Amelia Marini, and his long
time companion Nancy Greway. John grew up at Girard College in Philadelphia excelling in sports especially gymnastics to the degree he was pursued by the Olympic gymnas- tics team. He chose rather to enlist in the Navy serving during the Korean War. Upon discharge he became employed by the Frankford Arsenal from which he retired. John also retired from
ABB Service Co. after 18 years. John was a gifted machinist and carpenter. He loved his summers spent in Sea Isle City, traveling, casino visits and great food. It was not unusual for him to cross multiple state lines for a great seafood meal, his favorite being crabs. John was
also an avid Philadelphia sports fan.
Interment will be private. The family appreciates contributions to Jeffer- son Health at Home by Bayada Hospice at 225 Newtown Road, Warminster PA 18974. They were the greatest caring angels for Dad® Family and friends may send online condolences
