Joseph E. Fest, 66, of Bloomsburg, passed away Friday, January 11, 2013 at the Bloomsburg Health Care Center. He was born June 3, 1946 in Bloomsburg, a son of the late Paul and Arlene (Johnson) Fest. He graduated from Bloomsburg High School in 1964 and attended Bloomsburg University. He served in the United States Navy for twenty plus years. He was an Assistant Vice President for PNC Bank for over twenty nine years. He was an auditor for Montour Township for many years. He was a member of the Kiwanis Club and a member of Jaycc's and REDC-LEAP. He enjoyed woodworking, as well as playing his guitar. He also enjoyed spending time with his daughter Katie teaching her and watching her grow. He is survived by his wife the former Diane Kessler with whom he married March 25, 1994 and a daughter Kathryn Marie Fest of Mt. Carmel and three step-children Diane and her husband Michael Clark III, Freddy Allen and his wife Jennifer of California and Crystal and her husband Logan Billig of Bloomsburg and five step grandchildren and two brother Robert Fest and his wife Tish of Bloomsburg and Edward Fest and his wife Mary Beth of Georgia and a sister Sister Fran Fest of Danville and his step-father Ralph Palmiero of Bloomsburg, and two step brothers Ralph Palmiero and his wife Stephanie of Richmond, Virginia and Pete Palmiero and his wife Karrie of Mt. Top. Services will be Tuesday at 12:00 pm at Rodger T. Bunnell Funeral Home, 435 Market St. Bloomsburg, with Pastor Gary Weaver of Wesley United Methodist Church officiating. Burial will be at the convenience of the family at Mt. Carmel Cemetery. The family will receive friends Tuesday from 11:00 am until the time of service.
