Joseph Zeisloft Obituary

Joseph P. "Pete" Zeisloft, 84, of E. Walnut St., Millville, passed away Friday, October 15, 2010 at his residence. He was born May 30, 1926 on his family farm in the Jerseytown area, a son of the late Joseph and Marjorie Shultz Zeisloft. Pete graduated from Millville High School in 1945. He was a member of the Millville School Board for 18 years. He is a member of the Jerseytown United Methodist Church. Pete has been a farmer since childhood, in his later years he was also sold real estate and was an auctioneer. He was a member of the National Farmers Union and belonged to the FFA, where he went to Penn State and Harrisburg as an officer. In Pete's early years he started farming in the dairy business until 1965, and then he went to raising beef until 1985 and he crop farmed till present. Pete was preceded in death by a brother Leon Zeisloft who passed away in 1983. Pete is survived by his wife the former Roxanne Cochran with whom he married May 13, 1956, a son Steven and his wife Suzie of Millville, a daughter Meredyth and her husband Arthur Morrow of Stewartsville, NJ and three grandchildren Katie Zeisloft, Mathew and Daniel Morrow and three brothers Wayne Zeisloft and his wife Vivian of Muncy, Nevin Zeisloft and his wife Janice of Jerseytown, Roland Zeisloft and his wife Ann of Williamsport and five sisters Evelyn Shaffer, Faye and her husband Paul VanDine, Yvonne and her husband Jack Eyer, Marjorie "Honey" Farr and Sandra and her husband Wayne Watts all of Millville. Graveside services will be Tuesday at 11:00 am at Millville Cemetery, with Rev. Allen Acor officiating. Burial will be at Millville Cemetery. In lieu of flowers contributions can be made to a charity of your choice.
