Kathleen C. "Kay" Temple

Kathleen "Kay" Temple,74, of Millville passed away at Geisinger Medical Center on Saturday, January 5, 2019 after a brief illness surrounded by her loving family. Kay was born July 17, 1944 at the Bloomsburg Hospital. She was the daughter of the late Harold L. and Martha (Smith) Zeisloft.
Kay graduated in 1962 from Millville High School and spent most of her adult live in the Millville area.
Kay married her high school sweetheart, Ronald G. Temple on October 18, 1963. Kay and Ron recently celebrated their 55th wedding anniversary. Kay and Ron enjoyed their home, gardening and spending time together. They enjoyed long rides together in the car throughout the country side. Kay enjoyed spending time in her flower bed and grew countless herbs and perennials.
Before Kay was a mother and homemaker, she was employed by Geisinger Medical Center as a secretary, but spent most of her working years employed by Millville Mutual Insurance. Kay retired after 26 years and developed many friendships from her time working there.
Kay will be most remembered for her love of her family, friends and grandchildren. Kay will be best remembered as NANA. Nana spent countless hours going to her grandchildren's sporting events from baseball, basketball, soccer, lacrosse, field hockey and dance. Nana also made sure to attend all of their school activities as well, from chorus concerts to band concerts and more. She most enjoyed hosting sleepovers at Nana's house. She enjoyed making sure each grandchild felt special.
She also enjoyed her morning coffee chats with many family and friends. She spent countless hours "visiting" her family and friends and many people in need. Kay also loved to dance and would be the first to lead the Congo line at any wedding and was the last one to leave the dance floor. Kay was a loyal wife, mother, sister, aunt and nana and lifelong friend to many.
Kay is survived by her husband; son Patrick (Tami) Temple, Bloomsburg, daughter Jennifer (Todd) Anderson, Bloomsburg, son Steffen (Tiffany) Temple, Chadds, Ford, PA. As well as six grandchildren; Paige and Ryan Temple, Nicholas and Madeline Anderson and Graham and Sage Temple, siblings; Ruth Smith, Millville, Wilmer Zeisloft (Carol) Delaware, Eunice Hackenberger ( Ron) Ohio, Joyce Harding (Don) Millville, Anne Beagle (Dale) Bloomsburg, Leona Laubach (Walt) Danville, Gerald Zeisloft (Pat) Jerseytown. Kay also had many nieces, nephews, great nieces and nephews that will miss her as well.
In addition to her parents she was preceded in death by her brothers Harold Jr., James, Charles and Delmar Zeisloft and her sister Doris Kressler.
In her own words-she loved her family dearly, especially the grandchildren.
A memorial service will be held Friday January 11, 2019 at 3:00 pm at Mill-Green United Methodist Church, S State St & Walnut St, Millville, PA 17846 with her Pastor Robert Strozyk officiating. Burial will be at the convenience of the family. Family will receive friends from 1:30 pm until time of service.
