Bennett, 66 of Bloomsburg, passed away Friday, August 16, 2013 at Geisinger Medical Center after a lengthy battle of lung disease. He was born December 29, 1946, a son of the late Hervey and Betty Reigle Bennett. He attended Millville Schools. He then enlisted in the United States Army serving during the Vietnam War. He is a member of the Bloomsburg VFW Post 804 and the Millville American Legion Post 564 and the Danville Moose. In addition to his parents he was preceded in death by a brother Robert Bennett who passed away April 6, 1970. He is survived by his companion Elaine Heddings a daughter Nichole Young and her companion Robert Laubach of Bloomsburg, two sons Larry C. Bennett Jr. and his companion Jennifer Deitrick of Millville and Charles Bennett and wife Margret of Bloomsburg and five grandchildren Mitchel Young and Braydyn Deitrick, Forest, Colten and Casey Bennett and a brother Terry Bennett and his wife Pearl of Bloomsburg and a step mother Myrtle Bennett of Bloomsburg a sister Carol Paige Kashner of Danville and several nieces and nephews. Services will be Tuesday at 11:00 am at Bunnell Funeral Home, Inc. 179 E. Main St. Millville, Pa 17846 with Rev. Allen Acor officiating. Burial will be at Jerseytown Cemetery. The family will receive friends Monday from 6:00 pm until 8:00 pm. Friends unable to attend may send condolences at bunnellfuneralhome.com.
