Lois (Watts) Artman, age 92, of Elizabethtown, PA, formally from Millville, PA, peacefully transitioned to her Heavenly home on April 15, 2023.
Lois, a daughter of the late C. Edgar and Mabel Watts, was born September 19, 1930 in Millville. She graduated from Millville High School in 1948 and Thompson Business College in Harrisburg in 1950. Also in 1950, Lois married James E. Artman in Richland, Washington, who was serving in the U.S. Army at the time. After being discharged in 1951, the newlyweds moved to Philadelphia where Jim attended college. Lois and Jim lived in West Chester from 1955 until Jim’s retirement in 1986, after which they moved back to Millville. Lois and Jim became members of the Millville United Methodist Church where Lois was very involved for many years. Lois volunteered in many capacities including at the Bloodmobile, at Chester County Hospital, and was on the Millville Service Committee. Above all else, Lois loved her family and friends, spending time in laughter with them, especially with her grandchildren. She enjoyed hosting gatherings in her home, gardening and playing card games. Lois was known for always serving others, being a loyal friend, and being a devoted wife, mother and grandmother. She was described as a sweet lady and was an inspiration to many. Lois always had a smile on her face and good things to say about everyone.
