Mary (Sheatler) Zarr

Mary N. Zarr, 90, formally of Hidlay Church Road Bloomsburg passed away Monday March 21 at Balanced Care of Bloomsburg. She was a resident for 20 months. Mary was born July 25, 1920 in Moreland Twp., Lycoming County. A daughter of the late Frank B. and Pearl Lyons Sheatler. A graduate of Bloomsburg High School, she did volunteer work for over 25 years at the Bloomsburg Hospital, and was a member of Fowlersville United Methodist Church and sang in the choir. She is survived by a son Thomas V. Farrell and wife Doris of Lowell Mass., also an ex daughter in-law Wynona Eddy of New York. Four grandchildren: Kim Collins, Kari Akin, Kelly Farrell, and Thomas R. Farrell. Seven great grandchildren: Jeffery, Michelle and Lisa Akin, Emily, Mary, and Laura Collins, and Kari Ann Farrell. Also two great-great grandchildren: David and Henry Akin. She was preceded in death in addition to her parents by her husband Robert F. Zarr who passed away September 8, 2008, by five brothers: Albert, John, Jesse, Albert Charles, and LeRoy. Also, by three sisters: Mildred, Helen, and Grace. The family would like to thank the Fowlersville United Methodist Church for the continued love and fellowship that was shown throughout her lifetime. A special thank you to the staff at Balanced Care at Bloomsburg. Your love and compassion for her will never be forgotten. You are the "BEST". She will truly be missed by all. Services will be Wednesday at 10:00 am from Fowlersville United Methodist Church 10 Golf Course Rd., Berwick, Pa 18603, with her pastor Reverend Terry Brosius officiating. Burial will be at the Millville Cemetery. In lieu of flowers a donation to the Fowlersville United Methodist Church in memory of Mary Zarr would be appreciated.
