Mary Lou Z. Stalker, 88, of Bloomsburg, passed away on Friday, December 12 at Sunbury Nursing and Rehabilitation. She was preceded in death by her husband of 38 years, Kenneth W. Stalker on January 5, 2015.
Born July 11, 1937 in Bloomsburg, she was a daughter of the late John G. and Sarah E. (Kashner) Zeisloft.
Mary Lou was a 1955 graduate of Bloomsburg High School. She worked at the former Par Gas for many years before retiring from Heller’s Gas as a bookkeeper.
Mary Lou was an active member of Saint Peter’s Church and the Red Hat Society. She enjoyed needlepoint, puzzles, and quilting.
The last member of her immediate family, she is survived by her three nieces Linda Young (Clinton, Jr.), Gail Walter (Wayne, Jr.), and Donna Mohr (Maynard).
In addition to her husband and parents she was preceded in death by a brother Leidy J. “Bud” Zeisloft; three sisters Marie E. Lawton, Mildred Z. Mordan, and Arlene Z. Weiss; three nephews Dale E. and Larue E. Lawton, and Donald Mordan, Jr.
A graveside service will be held 10 a.m. Friday, December 19 at Dutchhill Cemetery with Pastor Gordon Smith officiating.
