Maxine Gottstein Obituary

Maxine R. "Dolly" Gottstein, 80, of Bloomsburg went to be with the Lord on Monday, February 27, 2012 after a courageous battle with cancer. Born in Beaver Township on December 19, 1931, she was a daughter of the late John and Elsie Longenberger Klingaman. She graduated from Beaver Township School. She retired from Bloomsburg University. Maxine was a member of St. Matthew Lutheran Church where she was a faithful member of the women's sewing group. She enjoyed gardening, quilting, traveling and spending time with family and friends. She was preceded in death by her husband, Clifford E. Gottstein in 1978, two brothers Franklin Klingaman and Donald Klingaman. She is survived by a son Wade Gottstein and his wife, Molly, and a daughter Marsha Walters and her husband, Doyle. Two grandsons, Jason and Daniel Gottstein, all of Bloomsburg, two sisters Eltheda Smith and Arlene Miller and numerous nieces and nephews. Services will be Thursday at 10:00 am at Rodger T. Bunnell Funeral Home, 435 Market St. Bloomsburg with her pastor Dr. Joel Zeiders officiating. Burial will be at Elan Memorial Park. The family will receive friends Wednesday from 6:00 pm until 8:00 pm. In lieu of flowers contributions can be made to St. Mathew Knotters 123 Market St. Bloomsburg, Pa 17815, Columbia Montour Home Hospice 410 Glenn Ave., Suite 200, Bloomsburg, Pa, American Cancer Society 1111 Old Berwick Rd.
