Michael Boone Obituary
Michael E. Boone, 55, of Millville passed away Monday October 7, 2019 at his residence. He was born April 11, 1964 in Danville. Son of Judy (Engleman) Boone of Millville and the late Jerry Boone.
He graduated from Millville High School class of 1982 then from Millersville University in 1986.
Mike was an administrator at Grandview Nursing Home for 31 years. Outside of work he enjoyed his farm where he raised beef cows, chickens, goats, and pigs.
His love of the outdoors included hunting, hiking, and fishing. Throughout the years Mike's love for golf took him around the world. His life long passion for sports led him to coach years of basketball and golf. Mike had a contagious personality that drew people to him for a lifetime not just a moment.
Mike served as member on the board of directors for First Keystone Bank in Danville for over 10 years. Mike was also a member of Frosty Valley Country Club, Huntsville Country Club, Berwick Country Club, Mill-Green United Methodist Church, and a social member at Millville American Legion.
Mike is survived by his mom Judy Boone, two sisters; Michele and Lisa Boone, and nephew Dylan Boone, and niece Grace Boone of Millville.
Mike was preceded in death by his father Jerry Boone on July 11, 2016.
A service will be held on Sunday October 13, 2019 at 3:00pm at Millville High School Auditorium, 345 School House Lane, Millville, PA 17846 with Pastor Bob Strozyk officiating. Family will receive friends at the school from 11:00am until the time of the service.
