Michael Allen Moore

Michael Allen Moore, 73, of Bloomsburg, went to be with the Lord, Wednesday, June 15, 2022, at the Geisinger Medical Center, Danville. 

Michael was born Nov. 27, 1948, a son of the late David and Phyllis (Dawson) Moore. In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by a daughter, Joyce Kyttle; and three brothers: Daniel, Timothy, and John Moore.

He was a graduate of Warrior Run High School and then served in the Marine Corps in the Vietnam War from 1968 until honorably discharged in 1972. He served in Okinawa and Norfolk, Va., where he was a Corporal. He was a member of the American Legion Post 945 and past Post Commander of Millville American Legion 564. Mike enjoyed doing puzzle books, watching Wheel of Fortune, Jeopardy, soap operas, and spending time with family.

Michael is survived by his wife, the former Georgie Marie Bacon, whom he married on Sept. 22, 1979; four daughters: Rose Walton of Millville, Betty Conner and husband, Jim, of Benton, Christine Fosse and husband, John, of Millville, and Nancy Sones and her husband, Denny, of Millville; 10 grandchildren: Shane Walton, Tasha Seely, Jack Kyttle Jr., Angelia Smith, Shaun Hill, Kenny Aikey III, Monica Pennypacker, Dan Conner, Heather Roeder, and Mandy Sones; 16 great-grandchildren; four great-great-grandchildren; brother, Mark Moore, wife, Evelyn; and sister, Pat Zwalkuski, and husband, Frank, of Buckhorn.

Services will be Monday, June 20, 2022, at noon at the Bunnell Funeral Home, Inc., 179 E. Main St., Millville, with the Rev. Jack Kyttle officiating. Burial will follow at Salem Cemetery. The family will receive friends and family from 11 a.m. until time of service at the funeral home.
