Obituary

Millard “Tate” G. Taylor Jr., 81, of Millville passed away on Tuesday April 11, 2023 at Geisinger-Bloomsburg Hospital. He was born February 16, 1942 in Bloomsburg, a son of the late Millard G. and Vera (Welliver) Taylor Sr.

He graduated from Millville High School and worked at Penn Dot as a machine operator. Tate was a social member of Benton VFW and American Legion Arthur Bardo Post 564. He enjoyed planting trees, being outdoors, hunting, and fishing.

Tate is survived by his wife the former Sandra Engel, whom he married April 8, 1995, four children; Steven Taylor of Danville, Michael Smith wife Angela of Millville, Jody Taylor wife Stacey of Orangeville, Heather Reichenbach husband Ken Shaffer of Benton, eight grandchildren, two step grandchildren, and three step great-grandchildren. As well as his sister Arla Jean Girton of Millville.

Tate was preceded in death by his parents as well as his sister Connie Farr, brother Donald Taylor, and stepdaughter Tracy Smith.

A celebration of life will be held at a later date.
